BARB AMOS | THE TWILIGHT SERIES Artist Reception: Thursday, February 28th from 6-8pm February 28 - March 16, 2019 Artist Statement: I continue to be fascinated by the twilight colours and involved in concepts of change.  I was invited into the changemakers studio at MRU and continue to study change and creativity.  The twilight time continues to fascinate me. It is the place between light and dark, hope and fear.   I try to be outside at this hour, or pause by a window to observe it.   It is so beautiful.   These twilight paintings are about our place in nature in a time of change.  Each painting has a reference to human activity.   We are part of these ecosystems.  We need to change our ways so that we act with respect for the natural world and the life it holds.  Each painting is a meditation on change and hope.
