Rachelle Kearns : The More Collection

THE 'MORE' COLLECTION
Stimulated by her study of abstract and lyrical expressionist art, Rachelle Kearns explores compositional drama with an emphasis on repetition and process in a graceful and convincing manner. Her paintings present moments that reside in the space between genuine and artificial - an example being the illusion of wind and light seen through closed eyelids. Her work displays an unerring discipline to line, colour and form.

Rachelle Kearns' latest body of work is inspired by C.S. Lewis, who wrote: "We do not want merely to see beauty ... we want something else which can hardly be put into words -- to be united with the beauty we see, to pass into it, to receive it into ourselves, to bathe in it, to become part of it."
